About Us
Founded in Bengaluru in 2021, Amālgrain Studio is a multi-disciplinary design practice working across Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban and Interior Design. We are driven by a commitment to shape spaces that are contextually grounded, environmentally responsible, and resilient over time.
Working from India with a global outlook, we engage projects across scales — from intimate commercial spaces to complex urban environments. Our approach blends experimental design thinking with research, balancing innovation with a deep understanding of place, people, and climate.
As a young and agile studio, we believe in Collaborative authorship and bottom-up design processes, where sustainable and eco-sensitive strategies are integral to design rather than afterthoughts. Regardless of scale or geography, our mission remains the same: to create thoughtful, enduring environments that respond meaningfully to their context.
What we do.
Nature Based Solutions
We design ecologically integrated systems that address surface water challenges, urban flooding, and climate resilience. Our interventions use natural materials and native ecosystems to create landscapes that serve both ecological and social functions—healing the land while enhancing human experience.
Campus Master Planning
We specialize in designing intuitive, adaptable, and people-centric campuses for institutions and industries. Through in-depth stakeholder engagement and contextual analysis, our plans balance spatial clarity with flexibility, ensuring long-term functionality and a sense of place.
Architecture & Interior Design
Our approach to architecture is grounded in context, simplicity, and material honesty. Whether a private residence or institutional building, we design expressive forms that require minimal interior embellishment. Interiors follow suit—functional, tactile, and rooted in local identity.
