About the visa

  • Please check if your country is on the visa-free list.

  • Please apply not earlier than three months, but asap.

  • I can provide an Invitation Letter and photocopy of my ID, should allow you to apply without booking flight tickets and hotels.
     

For British:

  • L Visa is required for tourists coming to China.

  • Directly visit the Visa Centre without appointment with the completed online application form and related supporting documents, between 9:00-15:00, at Ground Floor, 71 Mosley Street, Manchester, M2 3HR.

  • Processing time: 2-4 days (longer if you choose to get it by post).

  • Visa fee: £130.

  • Please check the document requirements and other details via this link.

For Irish:

  • Please check gov websites for updates and details.

  • Until 31 December 2025, citizens of Ireland holding an ordinary Irish passport travelling to China for business, tourism, family visit or transit purposes for a duration not exceeding 30 days are eligible for visa-free entry.

  • Passports should have a minimum validity of 6 months.

  • They may ask for your travel plan and hotel information. You can provide with my contact details and address, as your host.
